WW2 VINTAGE CATTARAUGUS 225Q FIGHTING KNIFE CUSTOMIZED TRENCH ART

WW2 VINTAGE CATTARAUGUS 225Q FIGHTING KNIFE CUSTOMIZED TRENCH ART

My question to fellow GS JUNK HUNTERS is: Does this customizing (trench art?) add value or make it less valuable?

Just my 2 cents worth, and believe me I am no expert..just shoving out my opinion...
I think the personal touch, crafting time, and uniqueness would make this MORE valuable.

Nice blade. I do not think the customizing helped the value as a military collectable, just the opposite actually.
Just because it did not work does not mean it was not a good plan!

Thanks for the opinions guys. I could use a few more. This might be a good candidate for Famous' keyword game. Any suggestions?

I'm no expert either but I know that to a Militaria collector it would be worth less than one in original condition, however it would appeal to a collector of trench art making it a cross collectible, should get you $60-$90 I would think.
That's my guesstimate and i'm sticking to it.
