Similar things do seem to come in waves it seems doesn't it? As far as the cards go, your cards appear to be mid 80's- mid 90's at a quick glance. Personally I try to stay away from cards of this era. The collector card market really exploded in the early 80's. So many cards were getting made by so many companies in such mass that it kind of killed the market for them in the long run. There are certain cards to look for from this era though. Here is a little info. on that-

Here's a tip if you ever run across a factory sealed box of 1993 Upperdeck Baseball SP it will fetch upwards of 600 a box 36ct, I ran into a few cases of this in a storage locker auction find a year ago. Made out like a bandit on it. 1989 Score Football is another one to look out for around 200-250 a box unopened.

In the late 70's my mom had a yard-sale and she called me to tell there was a fella who showed up wanting to give here 40 bucks for each shoe box full of baseball cards me and my brother collected and ranged in dates from 1959 to 1964. My brother had past away in 1972 and I said I didn't want them, so heck ya, 40 bucks a box would be a great price. If only I knew then those boxes of cards would get way hot later down the road. I'm sure the value would have been in the thousands at the height of bubble gum card collecting. :(
