Medieval? Renaissance? Cosplay? Need help with item I.D.

I picked this up at a garage sale this past weekend for $3. It's quite heavy and the opening measures approximately 3.5" by 4". I can't find any markings on it. My guess is it's some kind of arm cuff. I was going to list it with such keywords as medieval, renaissance faire, cosplay, larper (live action roleplayer). I've turned to this site before when I was stumped on the origins of an item, and you haven't let me down. Any suggestions on what to call it would be appreciated. Thanks!

Use the word bracer and bracers (even though there is only one). You could say it has not been tested for magic, but appears magical. lol

Its an upper arm cuff. Iv'e seen similar ones. Try labeling it bellydancing, middle eastern dance, tribal dance.

Thank you all for your input. I still have some research to do before I list it, but I appreciate the additional keyword suggestions.
