Forgot I picked this up today too

Measures approx. 10x6"

Wiped what seemed to be a century of grime off the glass, which appears to be old and high quality

The whole thing weighs exactly 2lbs

Possible signature on the front, looks like "VG" to me?

It isn't metal, but rather some kind of heavy plastic or plaster or ceramic. No clue on material.

I'm coming across a few similar mirrors on eBay, but all are bronze and hand mirrors. This one is intended for wall mounting and could be used as a picture frame as well.

It's a nice piece, but I am thinking mass produced. Period or repro, though?

Usually plastic is a sure indicator of something being mass produced I would venture to say its a modern mirror made to look old. Just my opinion

Even if it were metal and original it would have still been mass produced. They did not really make handmade one-off things like mirror or photo frames. Mass production has little to do with age in many cases unless one gets back into the pre 1800s.

Resin makes sense based on weight and texture. Actually haven't searched for "resin mirror", so let me do that now...
