Picked this up at a rummage sale along with a large collection of vintage shaving items. Can't seem to find this exact model online.

Front says: 8 day French Made
Back says:
33195
2 Two Jewels
8 Day Lever Movement Made in France
Bayard DB

It is about 7" tall and made of marble. I tried to wind it but it won't wind.

Thanks ahead of time for help.

Bayard is stamped on the reverse. The company's name was Deverdrey and Bloqauel. (You will see the initials“D' and 'B' under the Bayard name.) In 1928, the brand name Bayard was retained. Bayard was chosen in reference to a character of French history known as the Chevalier de Bayard, who was without fear and without reproach.
From 1928 to about 1932, many of the clocks produced were stamped with both names—Duiverdrey and Bloquel—Bayard mostly on the clock mechanism and finally only Bayard was kept along with the logo of the walking lion (Do you see that anywhere?).
Bayard clocks were mass produced and exported around the world. Models ranged from small ladies clocks t othe large mantle clock with a MARBLE CASE (emphasis is mine) weighing over 3kgs.

Thanks for the info. It just says 'Bayard D - B'.

Does anyone have any idea of value of it not working. Its heavy...like 10lbs so will be expensive to ship.
