It's made of sterling silver I have no idea what to even begin to think what it is. It looks like the ends are dragons I kind of think a nose ring but I have no idea.

To me it looks like the item you would use to pin your kilt together. Look up Kilt Pin Brooches on ebay and you can see some that look like it. Vintage Silver Penannular Brooch Kilt Pin Dragon Motif | eBay

Awesome! Thank you very much. I'm thinking about having my jeweler put Rubys Inn where the eyes are. It looks like they would sit in there perfectly! But more than likely I will just sell it as is. But thank you thank you very much!!!

Nice penannular... very popular with re-enactors such as the SCA (Society of Creative Anachronism) as a kilt brooch. Ebay your best bet to find the right buyer, I think, unless you know such people (like me!). I wouldn't mind having it, but if it's marked sterling I probably can't afford it. A lot of items of that style are done in pewter. Very nice find, congrats!

My wife would use it to pin up her hair. That way she would have something handy to stab me with if I misbehaved.
