We rented a house for the 4th near a lake that is beautiful but many of the surrounding areas are invested with crystal meth. On Friday bought $280 melt worth of silver, gold (10k, 14k, 18k) for $25.

I mentioned to the person I was renting place from that I liked to go to yard sales and he said that he was going to have one next week. He said he would show me the items today.

Bought these Gorham candy bowls for $10. Combined they weigh 175g.

Bought this Turner lantern for $5. Don't know much about it, but I think it is cool.

Finally, bought this Wilton 820 mini bullet vice. It is missing the base, but one in similar condition without the base sold for $275 on eBay. I paid $2.

It was a great vacation! Happy 4th everyone.

Love the wilton! I bought a larger version of the one you have for $75 recently, and I thought I got a deal! If you can find one with the swivel base pick it up and don't put it down until you've paid for it, I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure they sell for $300-$500. Great scores!

Thanks! Any idea why this manufacturer / model is so valuable? From what I read this model, 820 aka 'baby bullet' is used by jewelers.

I have no idea, I got mine from the crazy tool hoarder den I posted about a while back, he had a zillion vises so I went home and looked up valuable vises. The next time I went back I found one, I think it might just be it's unusual shape.
