Made it to the shop near my office today and recovered some cool items. All silver except the brass piece which I'm trying to date. The enamel souvenir piece is 800 silver. The medal is 1940s-1950s. I also bought the woodpecker picture which is some sort of silk screening on silk. Any thoughts on that? Haven't posted finds in a while because it's been almost all jewelry (which gets boring to post) and because the balkanized forum categories really seem to have killed activity here. HH all.

No thoughts on the woodpecker but what is the brass piece? I can see it looks like it had a wooden handle at one time. Is it solid?

'balkanized forum categories'....haha. Could not agree more. Very stupid. (In my opinion)

agreed, used to check the related forums daily when they were subs, now I barely look at the others! Nice finds too, not trying to divert the thread!

Dig - it's a spoon of some sort. Someone jammed it in the silver handle in photo but it's not a match. I'm thinking wood too.
