I picked this unusual serving set at a garage sale today. No markings whatsoever. And no clue of its origin. Thought it was a good price at $5

Any ideas

It's a carving set and I agree with GibH, probably from India...

That's how I found it, I googled "sheathed carving set" images and came up with a bunch. Almost all of the carved ones are from India.

I am often surprised that - and I mean no disrespect to OP - people don't 'google' first for themselves before going online to find answers via a far less direct route. [emoji57] Just saying.[emoji257]

Sometimes it is hard to come up with the right key words to search. I've asked for help myself after searching for what seems like hours.

I absolutely know what you mean![emoji39]I've often searched for hours too. Not very nice. I guess it'd be clearer if I said that I find it quite satisfying to 'discover' the answers for myself rather than have someone simply tell me the answer. The thrill of the chase, if you will. I didn't mean to imply any right or wrong in how answers (= knowledge) are found. Sorry if I seemed rude. I never intended to be such. [emoji257]
