Picked up this unframed 40" x 50" abstract oil painting at a local garage sale, seller said family had owned for a long time.
In some areas the painting is over a textured surface.
I think the signature is 'Simoñ H'.
I found it interesting, at least in a 'decor' sense.
Anyone have any information on this artist or value of this painting?

Very nice abstract painting, I've never seen the signature before. I had a very similar one, but mine was a Lee Reynolds. Looks 90's to me. Very nice score!

Thanks for the replies, 90's would be consistent with info from the seller. 2Minnesota, thanks for the link, I don't think that Simon H is the same person, he seems to be more of a graphic designer and maybe a bit young if this was indeed from the 90's.

Finding info on artists of 'found art' so far seems to be quite a challenge, I suppose this is typical? I have come across several original artworks at garage sales that the sellers told me were painted by retired neighbors, relatives, friends, or others who created these as a hobby, wouldn't expect those to have much value or to be able to find out much about the artist or the artwork.
