Found this vintage Whitehead & Hoag pinback button at an estate sale but I can't find out what the "14°" stands for on it? Does anyone know? I've googled it and tried looking on eBay but can't find anything. It's really small--about 1/2" across.

My second guess would be a union or labor button, signifying 14 hrs. Possibly to protest that they were working 14 hr days. Just things that are coming to mind.

Maybe so, bdsawyer---and that would make sense because with the 14° button, I bought a bunch of other 1940's pinbacks and they were union buttons. I'll start researching in that direction.
Thank you!!

It may have something to do with Fourteen Degrees Samsung Galaxy S4 covers, like one shown here:

Don......
I think the pinback is really old, Don. Probably from the 1940's. I bought it along with a bunch of other pinbacks and a couple of those have dates on them in the 40's. There were also some 1960's and earlier political campaign buttons with the 14° pinback.

Here are the political campaign buttons that I got with the rest of the pinbacks:

I think I gave $3 for all of them. :)
