I was out doing some picking on Saturday and wasn't really finding much. I got a late start on purpose and had just missed a few deals so I was going to head home. On the way I got a phone call from my dad informing me of something he found I might be interested in.

Once I saw the pictures I had to have it so this was what he grabbed that day.

Elgin 18sz George Wheeler movement in a Crescent Watch Case Co. The dial has a damage but the Masonic markings are really cool. It runs currently but the hands tend to hang up so it will need a service and small repair. I might opt for a new crystal if I can find one for under the 60.00 quoted price

Very nice. Specialty dials really make the watches. It's a shame pocket watches are not worth more. They are really fascinating pieces of history. I made a habit of wearing one on Fridays just in hopes I can possibly restart the fashion trend in some small way.
