Got some watches today for you guys (pic heavy) I've picked these up past few weeks. First I got two amazing watches from the 40s, a Waltham 1946 (interesting model here has a military movement inside converted into a civilian watch for after the war! Works great for $25) and a 1940 Bulova President, rare model here, unique shape 45mm long, last year it was produced, got it for $16... doesn't work (funny thing is that the store I got it from I was there like 2 weeks earlier when they had first got it but I didn't feel like getting another watch atm and thought for sure it'd be gone when I went back after some research haha seems like nobody really cared about it! Good for me! Lucky they keep the watches under the counter and you have to ask for them)
Next I got a very collectible are rare Seiko Worldtime 1967 made for the Tokyo Olympics in 1964. $100 at a pawn shop... they had it listed on eBay and had some professional shots of it done, the bracelet it's on is an amazing JB Champion from the 60s... They used these for many Bulova Astronauts and Omega watches in the day.
Final two watches are from the 50s an Elgin Shockmaster and a Timex... Now not all Timex watches are cheap... this is a rare West Germany Electric model 7 jewel movement... got it for $10 and will be a very nice investment IF it works with a new battery, haven't gotten a chance yet to try it but I'm not very hopeful as many people left batteries in their Timex watches and they corroded everything inside away, I don't see much corrosion so hopefully it'll work (these Timex models are a pain, they sealed the back on the watch, the only way to get the movement out is to have a crystal lift that can unscrew the crystal carefully and take the dial out then the movement, best left to a professional lol)!! The Elgin I got in a bag of watches so it was basically free once I sell everything else, high quality movement, came on a funky band kinda futuristic! Enjoy!
