Rare is rare. If the supply is that limited, there will always be a premium to be had.

I can't agree 100% with that due to the nature of the collectible market. As long as there is a group of collectors for something the rarest examples will always be worth more than the common varieties. That's an indisputable fact. The issue is that over time the number of collectors can rise or fall. When that happens demand for the collectibles rise & fall causing values/prices to rise and fall. That's basic supply/demand economics. Truth is there are things that are collectible right now that weren't worth diddly 20 years ago(like safety razors)....and collectibles of 20 years ago that have dramatically dropped in value(art pottery). Anyone that believes collectibles will always rise in value hasn't done their research.

Agreed. I cancel auctions any time I make a big mistake. You may only get $1000 instead of that $2000+.

Shoot I'd be scared seeing what they go for normally and seeing there is only two hours left.

Sold for $1525!! I'm happy. Yes, I could've taken the $2200 email offer but I'm ok with what I got. I already ordered a new pair of sunglasses. Lol. PS the guy that offered me the $2200 is the guy that won the auction.

I'm happy for you. Sometimes it's not about the money but the memories you make and that razor will make someone else very happy

The best $1 you ever spent - When I used to sell on ebay I always rejected side offers out of hand.

This is one of those things where if I had saw it I would have never thought about buying it! Absolutely amazing find, love seeing things like this that I never knew of. My only question is why didn't you take the offer of $2,200?

I was happy with the bid I already had. It was a gamble I guess but the other bidders had a chance this way. There's always a "what if". Just have to be content and not greedy. But what if it would've went higher than $2200. Lol

Congrats on a super nice score and super nice resell price! Now you have gotten me wondering if I have one or more of those "Fat Boys". I picked up some really nice old Men's and Women's Razors awhile back and have not really spent anytime researching them and there are several adjustable razors in the bunch.
