Wow! Had my trusty Craftsman chipper shredder upchuck a blade the other day. Tore a big gash in the discharge chute and threw the blade about 4' away and a good 8" in the ground seemed like forever for the flywheel to slow to a stop. #1 wow! both legs still intact! Found a cub Cadet for $150!! (they're selling for $800 at Tractor Supply) in close to new condition! the paint hasn't even been worn in the chutes, blades hardly worn at all. The only reason the guy was selling it was a 3" chipper was too small. Got it home, 40 minutes & a little Barrymans & it's purring! Wow #2

If you're reading this PLEASE stand at the back of the hopper! Be safe!!

Sounds like a guardian angel was watching out for you. Thanks for some good safety advice.
