Old rifle pieces and parts

I hit one yard sale today, later in the day as I haven’t been going out very much. (I have a ton of stuff). But there was a box of rifle parts and I asked the guy how much he wanted for them and he said three dollars for the box. I have no idea what I bought. most of them look like they’re in pretty bad condition but I have an antique booth. I figure I can probably put $10 on each and do pretty well. although some of them look like they’re really old. One has three stars on it. I don’t really know what to look for but here’s the photos

It looks like you have some early Remington 1903 shotgun/Model 10 pieces in the whole lot. The ribbed foregrip is an obvious model 10 and some of those shoulder pieces should be inspected closely.

It’s possible some bear proof stamps such as a “P” or ordinance marks/inspectors stamps from military issue. There are lots of people on the hunt for old wood stocks that can replace later, sporterized versions.

Those are some good finds if you can ID them!!

Could be an old Willys Jeep hood latch. I still see these used now days and as a means of holding something down.

No, not really, it was just easier than your rifle parts You have some neat pieces. You might take the Butt plates off, sometimes people wrote their names in the wood on the butt. Sometimes left a message. You never know what you might find.

The brass butt plate with the trap door opening (round) is the same as my .303 Enfield.

ID them and you could be looking at a good deal of $ like BigCaddy said

You really need to find someone that is knowledgeable on antique firearms and try to identify most if not all of the butt stocks and forearms because some of the butt stocks appear to be somewhat hard to find and valuable. There appears to be a butt stock with a metal butt plate from a pre-War Winchester Lever Action or similar lever action rifle and could possibly be for one in the 1800's. The Remington is from an early shotgun or rifle with a two piece stock. Several appear to be from early, pre-1940's Doubled Barrel Shotguns and one appears to be from a Mauser. Hard to really identify them from pics but you have a start.
