Help with Medal - boy scouts?

This was in a lot of vintage boy scout stuff. Most of it I was able to identify pretty easily. From the 60s-70s and two USMC pieces. This one I’m stumped on. It’s similar to the piece on the attached link, but they’re stumped too.

It’s base metal. The medal itself is three pieces - the gold background, the silver cross and then the blue shield w a leaf in the middle.

I was boy scout and if that's a medal I never made it that for. Most stuff we got we're merit badges. Might be the Eagle scout medal. Can't say.

GibH - we need our own hall of fame for ID’s like this. I spent about two hours trying to track this thing down and I’m certainly not a newbie when it comes to complex ID’s. Simply AMAZING.

Got lucky with the right description on google image search. Medal 6 fields fleur de lis and oak leaf.

wow! No kidding. I seriously searched this thing for almost an hour. Learned a lot about Maltese Cross medallions .
