Nope... That can't be it. I've had a working one since December of 2010. SN-50500145 (One of the "bad ones"). Mine is used all the time, 3 or 4 times a week, left in a hot truck when not used, dropped and dunked. Found a cuff button back this past weekend in very bad ground (ground balance = 85) at 8" deep, hit hard and loud.

While some folks have had some issues, not everyone. I'd bet there are more good, issue free machines out there than machines with warranty problems.

The F75 or T2 leaning against the truck was probably for back up for when the garrett detector died.......
