I agree, call them up. I called them about a broken coil bolt.
I broke mine being heavy handed and I told them the truth and they sent me two for free.

Doesn't hurt to ask.

So my question to you, is, how did it meet it's demise? :laughing7: Did it take a lickin' before it broke, or was it a "I TOLD you kids not to walk so close to me while I was digging that signal" thing? I know I cringe when my kids stumble about when they are out with me detecting, although I wouldn't NOT take them with me for all the silver and gold on earth! HH!

I was in some thick weeds and was swinging when
the coil caught on some low lying roots and the
armrest broke.
Great news though, Garret is sending me a new
armrest and should have it by the weekend.

"just spin the broken one over and use the "other side" of the arm rest until your new one shows up"

I tried that and it was very uncomfortable, but thanks for the tip.

Mine broke last year. I epoxied it together, works fine now.

The plastic tends to deteriorate over time.

I have gone through 2 of them already. I love my ace but I finally made one out of metal. I have also had one of the box mounting pegs and the coil mounting screw break. I hunt hard and I hope it will not have to many more breaks.
