I Figured Relics And Rings Were Done For The Year -Out Pops A Ring And Old Coin

We had some rain recently, and I figured the ground would be frozen solid. The snow still remains in school yards and sports fields. My buddy and I figured one more kick at the cat for a woods hunt might get a find or two. We both got some surprises!



The ground in the woods was diggable, except on the packed trails. There was little snow in the woods. Here's my assortment of finds using the AT Gold. Not to shabby.......



I found some wheats, a bunch of coins in the 40's-50's and a surprise catch of a 1911 Canadian large cent.



Things were really turning out well. I got a ring, about 4 inches in the black dirt. No stamp on it and it doesn't stick to a magnet. Not sure what it's made of?



My buddy used his Garrett GTI 1500, and he wasn't disappointed either. He found the only musket ball of the day, and old toy DINKY TOY, some older pennies and a nice biface primitive stone tool. If the weather holds out, might go again next week.
