I think watching all of those vids payed off because ive had great luck using this detector! No silver yet but i think the seasons over, were getting 3-5 inches of snow tomarrow;(
I just want to know how well does the 5x8 coil preform On the at pro, how does it work at the beach and on gold, silver coins and jewlery? Im also going to get the garrett pro pointer, total for both is about 280$

That 5' x 8" is fantastic for hunting in the woods. It gets incredible depth and can really get into some tight spots where other coils cant. That's been my experience so far. My buddy just got his for the AT Pro, and that's all he uses now.

I'm really liking the 5x8 in the woods as well and it does go deep to.

Ya but for the coil, coil cover and extra rods more

Coil & PP = $254.92

Cover is $9 msrp
lower rod is $7 msrp
mounting hardware is $6

I'm sure Bart can get you the extra lower rod, mounting nut & coil cover for $20 or less...
If he can, he's right.... You need to shop around. ;D

FYI 280$ was a really rough estamate
Also how does the propointer do in sand

Before you buy, give some of the sponsors a call, including Bart.
It really does pay to shop around. I'm sure your $280 estimate can be beat.

As for the ProPointer in sand, it'll work, just don't get it too wet, it's water resistant , not waterporoof!! The speaker hole seems to be the issue. Tape it up really well.

I would recommmend a sand scoop for beach hunting, if that's what you're planning. Using a Propointer on the beach would be a waste of time, when you can use a scoop and have the target out in a matter of seconds, and be back hunting.
