Interesting question. On one hand the 250 was everything i needed. On the other hand it didn't have the discrimination and waterproofness I needed to give my hobby the shot in the arm. Pluses: I could find everything I needed to find. Negatives: Not waterproof, not good at nuggets and discrimination. Probably don't need more, but the bells and whistles of more expensive detectors are nice.
