I have just purchased the AT Pro and took it out this morning for awhile. Using standard coin mode it almost always showed targets at 8+ inches. I was at a freshwater lake detecting a sandy swim area. I balanced detecter. I dug several hits and found a few bottle caps. I went home and buried several coins at about two inches or so and the detector showed they were at 4+ inches. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong.

Will do. I thought I balanced according to instructions but I am new at this. I will review and try again.
