Just getting started and was wondering whats the need for a different type of coils.

Well the from my experiance with the ACE 250, I bought a bigger coil, so that i could gain or ground in each swing, and I think it actually goes a little deeper, Bu the smaller the coil, the better they are for trashy areas

Try the Sniper coil,some say they never take it off.
