There are lots of things that I like on the Pro-Pointer. The little holster that comes with it is very functional and makes it super handy.
I sure wish that Garrett would (if possible) give it a little more detecting distance. I carry my old Detectorpro uniprobe with me, which has the disadvantage of a wire connected to the probe (which gets tangled). I like the depth that the Uniprobe has and I realize that some may not. If Garrett could make the power linear adjustable, it would be great for all users.
I realize that this would raise the cost, but they could offer both models

Just a thought

Here is the answer to your wish

Look on YouTube for "Supertuning Pro Pointer"
There are many ways to do it once you understand the theory and how it works.
Here is an example.

Some use a ring or metal band wrapped around their glove or finger tip.
I prefer a 1-1/2" piece of bicycle tube wrapped right behind the on/off button with a nail slid under it.
