I still have an ACE 350 that I was going to let someone use but when I tried it out there was a problem. It seems that just swinging it makes it give a signal as if it were over a target. I tried it in the open air and the motion seems to be in time with the signal.

This machine has been used very, very little, maybe 20 hours total. Should I send it to Garrett or am I experiencing a problem that others have fixed on their own?

Thanks for any help.

Make sure the cable is wrapped tight around the shaft and good batteries are being used. Another option to try is doing a factory reset. Hopefully one of these suggestions may help. Good luck!!

Try new batteries, make sure cable is securely screwed into controller, check coil for small cracks, take it to an open field with no power lines, do full reset. If nothing works, send back.
