Once I put the 5 X 8 coil on my AT Pro, I pretty much never change it out. It is one of the best coils sizes out there for the Garrett AT series. About the only time I switch it out for the larger 8.5 X 11 coil is when I detect large fields. I would think the new Ripper would be the standard for many folks who will use the Apex as well.

That 5 x 8 inch coil is a real favorite. Garrett has sold thousands!
