Treasure Hunters show continues on Saturday
Sun Staff Report
April 30, 2010

Saturday is the last day for the Treasure Hunters Roadshow, a traveling exhibition of antiques and collectibles that is making its way around the Bluegrass.

Vintage jewelry, old model trains, coins, swords, advertising memorabilia and musical instruments are just a few of the items that will be available for viewing or purchasing.

The treasure hunters make offers based on what collectors are willing to pay, and when someone decides to sell, they get paid on the spot, and the treasure hunters send the item to the collector at their expense.

The event is being held at the Hampton Inn, 1025 Early Drive, until 6 p.m. today and will continue Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. It began Thursday.
What do you all think about these "traveling" shows ?

I went to one a couple of months ago, seems they are most interested in silver and gold. I didn't have any, and they werent interested in the items I had, comic books and the like. I see it as a waste of time. My quess is they wont pay any more than those "we buy gold" places. Just my 2 cents.
