My guess would be insecticide... Insecticides kill bugs, so you will not be harmed by it :thumbsup:

My bad, I think it hurts people too :tongue3: I would wait until after the harvest and when you do go, remember to wash thoroughly soon after your hunt.

Best idea would be to go see/ ring the farmer and ask him direct...that's IF he's given you permission on his fields?

Could also be sewage sludge from the local sewage treatment plant . Ask the owner while you are getting permission . You could be digging your own crap .

Until I saw the container of the product that was applied and read and understood the directions and Warnings ,,, I 'd stay out of that field.
Is finding a few coins or rusted pieces of Iron worth exposere to an unknown substance that could jeopardise your health?

yea i think i would wait.....i hunt fields here in ohio too..a couple yrs ago i did not know that had sprayed a few days before and my hands actually swelled up..and i wear gloves when detecting..
i would wait till fall and give it chance to go away...

Go and ask the farmer, Here in Minnesota some farmers just apply soap and water to there fields. It keeps the bugs and animals out of the corn especially deer and raccoons. But most of them like to spray the pesticide and herbicide. Good Luck And Happy Hunting!!!
