Recent immigrant to NE Tennessee

Been involved in this hobby off and on for many years while living in New Hampshire and have found a few good things. Had a small town owner operated detector shop I hung around at and did my business with and a local forum that met regularly. Now have bought a home in Limestone TN between Kingsport & Greeneville and am looking to find who the "locals" are. Being in NH the finds ranged from colonial times but I've always been fascinated with Civil War history. Hoping this new area might give me the chance to locate some relics. I could use whatever info anyone can provide. Local laws concerning public parks, good shops to frequent, etc. I believe in spending my money at small owner operated places rather than the big mail order joints. Thanks

Thanks. Busy with house hunting, moving, etc. Hmmm.. is it possible to change names but keep my posts & other stuff ? Now you have me thinking.
