Hello,
Today I purchased some 1 ounce bullion from a local coin dealer. One of them looks like normal (or what I think most people consider normal) looking bullion, like a flat rectangle. It has a serial number or something on it and says TROY 1 ounce .999 fine silver. The other 2 look like coins, I think the guy mentioned something about Silver American Eagle or something, but on one side it has a lion or some animal and has the numbers 1860 and then some type of letters I dont recognize. The other side has the coin dealers website address and phone number, and then under that it says TROY 1 Ounce .999 Silver... All letters, words, etc. are part of the coin, not ink or anything. I hope this makes sense lol.

Are these 2 "coins" real 1 ounce troy silver? Do coin dealers make their own bullion and can stamp whatever they want on it? I am just curious. Very new to precious metals.

Thank you for any assistance and/or information.
