I don't know if this is the right place to ask this but here goes,
. My neighbor asked me to look in her yard for a lost ring that was lost by her daughter 10-12 years a go.She told me it was white gold with a birthstone so Ive been looking for gold with my etrac and digging pull tabs and nickles now she tells me her daughter is sure its sterling silver not white gold. Does anyone know what a girls sterling silver ring would ring up on my etrac I see many targets that are in the penny and dime and quarter range but have been letting them go for the lower conductive gold signals . Thanks for any advice

depends on it's size and how it's oriented, but MOST of my silver rings have come in as solid quarter signals, with a few dipping into the dime range.
