I have a property in NW Missouri and was told by the septic inspector that there was a lot of glacial rocks there. in a creek bed i have found pink quartz green quartz as well as rounded granite, is there any chance there might be gold deposits? what kind of rocks etc should one look for that gold might be around?

Go for it chigger, it's fun panning, and it doesn't cost you nothing. How big is your green and pink quartz? I have heard some people pay more for quartz in it's natural form.
If you find out that your quartz is worth nothing, whack it with a hammer, (safety glasses), you might be holding gold in your hand already! Don't expect a gold bar to fall out....lol....but with a jewellers loupe, everything is a nugget.
Welcome to the forum, and good luck!
