All this reading back up on metal detecting and research has me all pumped up to get back out there 
Just found what could be a great site. An abandon road in state land that had five homes on it in the mid 1800's.
Can't wait to get out there and check the area to make sure its accessible.
A good area like that, I may not be the first to detect there, but hopefully I will find some interesting artifacts. Can't wait!
Now if the snow will disappear... well I guess it gives me time to get a spare battery pack
