Dog licenses are really fun items to dig, they are very unique finds, with different dates, and cool designs. Lets see who can get the oldest one, and the most ornate one.

Mine are 1906 with an engraving of a dog, and a 1912 acorn shaped dog licence.

I like the acorn one, but explain why you whited-out something on the tag? They're old enough that no one should care. Puzzling. ???

My town is so microscopic, that with the town name, you could find site I metal detect at, for example: I hunt at a modern school with colonial woods around them, if you know my town than you would know exactly what I'm talking about. I do not care about the registration number, but if you know my town, than you pretty much know exactly where I metal detect.

I have dug many but mostly modern ones.
Some of my club members have some large collections with many of these going way back.

Here is a license I dug in June that is unusual...I have never seen anyone post one of these before on any forum.

Wow, I had no clue that they even licensed cats, I did not even know that anyone put a collar on a cat.
