At 14 feet, you need to dig a horizontal tunnel heading due north. At 8 feet and 11 inches, you need to turn 90 degrees to the west and dig 12 feet where you will hit a vertical shaft. You will need a rope at this point, as you will have to descend almost 70 feet into a underground stream. You'll need your portable dredge at this point, as the treasure is very fine rhodium dust in the stream.

OK guys, What do you think? Southeast Asia/ South Pacific based on the green bamboo ladder? Limestone? It would be worth (safely) spelunking just for fun, if not for treasure! Sub 8-)

I think if you climb down in that hole... it may be the last hole you ever climb down...
And I would bet there is nothing but trouble... no treasure below.

But hey... I am Closter phobic when I see a hole like that so I am biased.

Standing there looking in ...

I would say 2 words...

You first.

I think you are on the right track, but my agreement ends there, I aint going down that ladder, no way, no how. Just looking at the picture bothers me.

Total agreement of I'm not crawling down there for anything.

How much would have to be down there for you to crawl in?

Buried once, now I'm shy.

first I would pull up that ladder, send down a cam, build a rig with ropes or winch.

If your going in there make sure your affairs are in order and your life insurance is paid up.

Or send in a camera.

I'm not a cave person, but could it be a dry well?

There's an old Jewish proverb about climbing down a well on another man's rope . Always made sense to me .......................................
