well I have just done 60 hours of detecting this month already the wife says its to much don't know what she means (I did offer to get her one and come with me but she said no ) just got a fantastic site with loads of history that's what I love about where I live Dorset south west England I love to find things that no one has seen for years it still gives me a buzz after all these years and put on this forum to show you guys whats about cant get enough of this fantastic hobby

Don't know "what she means" ? I means you are led around like a bull-on-a-string. Aka: "p@ssy-whipped". The other option you have is to "talk to her about it". Afterall, you're a "nice husband", aren't you ? And do you know how to know when the "talking about it" has ended ? : When you'd uttered "yes dear". Otherwise ...... well ......... you're not done talking about it.

Welcome to the best hobby around. I dream of metal detecting in Europe, so much history. Very late 1600's and 1700's is about the oldest I can get where I live.

yes I am lucky to live here I can drive for 20 min and be finding roman coins within the hour , so much history even in small farms you find George 3rd coins that's why I love this hobby

It's awesome to have that much history where you are. Just curious, care to share any of your finds :), very interested to see what you found in an area you rich in history. Also, George III coins are considered ancient where I am from:laughing7:

done that she has 2 gold rings all 9ct found by me the 3 is a posy ring from the 14th cent
