Shark week on Discovery channel

On east coast, the discovery channel has some interesting shows about sharks. One guy petting a great white while out of his cage. Very interesting. Just thought people might enjoy watching. Don't miss it. Great show this week.

There was an interesting interview this AM on our local NPR station. A research biologist allowed film crew along as he was tagging sharks. Now he finds they worked him into a program called Voodoo Sharks and took his comments out of context as part of some "monster shark" that has invaded the Louisiana waters.
They asked him questions but then edited different questions in for the film.

He was not amused at all.


It's a shame they wouldn't devote as much time and effort to real science as they do these "Blair Witch" shark shows.

Sure we get 1 day a year (fathers day) and sharks get a whole week..

Never really understood what all the hoopla was about with shark week.

Don't have anything against it mind you.... just never understood what the big deal was.

All I need when I dive with great white sharks, are two things! A good buddy and a sharp knife to cut my buddy's leg with. So this show has nothing on me. I already know it all when it comes to sharks. Ha Ha
