Metal detecting in W.V. USA

Does anyone have any input on why W.V. has not been excavated more of mined other than for coal The history there is interesting too and the towns go back to th the 1600s as well as Indians. They say we have no gems but diamonds and other stones have been found just wandering about thisas I can find know one interested in that sorta thing around here. I guess I am different LOL.

Until a member pipes in - you might consider browsing Sub-Forums: West Virginia for information (i.e., clubs, etc.) directly related to your state.

I live in greenbrier county but know we're bolt is. I just do not go out that way anymore. It's OK I will be fine by myself just very carefull and take my cell. I do not venture far although tempted.
