Dear Lord there were/are so many I had and would love to have again. The 67/68 Shelby's and Mustangs, one of the 427 Cobras we used to run against, the 1970 440 GTX that nearly killed me, the SS's, the GTO rag top. But if I had a choice there would be two of them. My dad's 63 T-bird roadster. Had a Holman-Moody race prepped solid lifter beast in it, and it was pink with a black top and interior, with a 4 speed. The other which I'm working on getting is a 68 Hemi Dart clone. There is nothing more Billy Bad Asp then that for the street.

Funny we talk of the good old day's cars. And now little 4 bangers are beating their quarter mile times and can turn with ease.
My son and I are are prepping his car for Road Atlanta in August. It's an 2006 Mitsubishi EVO 9. I guess way down the road it will be his one if he ever gives it up. I grew up with fast cars, we raced everything from SCCA to USAC to NHRA/IHRA, and a few more, and that car scares the bajeezus out of me.
There is a heck of of difference in going 150+ in a straight line and doing the same while making multiple turns.

I don't think I've gone that fast (don't now either!) But my old V8-Vega was quick but I never drove it myself on a professional 1/4 strip. We had a 1/4 strip all measured off about a 1/2 mile from our small town. Lots of races run out there. I was actually a little scared the last 100 yds. as the car topped out and was usually ahead enough to back off near the end. The guy I sold it too ran it through in the 11.90's (don't remember the MPH) but I don't think I could of at all.

I agree ... and (no, I don't encourage anyone to do what I did when I was a stoopid kid) street racing on rural roads at that speed in the late 70's was a bit different as well.

Like I said, I was stupid. Otherwise I wouldn't have tried to match my Roadrunner's speed with my brother's Suzuki T-380 on bald tires. Fortunately, at about 120 it got squirley enough that I shut it down instead of continuing. Later found out that it wouldn't quite make 130 anyhow.

Don't have a pic, but my first car was a '67 Chevelle. I paid cash for it in 1977 and couldn't drive it cause I was only 15 at the time lol.

The Baja was great in the AZ desert prospecting. We camped in the van and the VW would go almost anywhere in the desert.

1974 Plymouth Satellite. It had 40k on it when I bought it from my grandmother in 1991. I sold it a few year later to buy a crappy Chevy S10 pickup.

1972 Plymouth Road Runner with a 440. Just a driver and not a matching numbers car. Bought it in 2003 and spent 8 years restoring it. Finally gave up on it in 2011 and sold it. Too much of a money pit with no end in sight.

This is a photo right after I painted it myself (In Violet Metallic). Never painted a car before in my life. Came out pretty good, considering that I painted it in my back yard! LOL!

Two that I wish I still had. One was a 1967 Ford XL with the 390 with 4 one barrel carbs. Was my first car at 16. Paid $200 for it at the Buick dealership. Motor was tweeted and was faster then a 16 year old needed. The other one was a 1967 Olds Cutlass convertible that got flattened by a semi making a right turn from the left lane. Sweet driving car.
