How did you old-timers do it!!

I started detecting around age 7 or so, and I remember you quickly learned to pin-point with precision. Back then it was just a modified screwdriver for a digging tool too. Things certainly are easier and faster now, but I still keep a screwdriver handy for the shallow stuff.

Funny side-note, as soon as I had a pin-pointer my dad happened to return to the field with me, as I had just gotten him a new detector, and when he saw how effective my pin-pointer was he had one of his own the next week.

That's it I will never MD without a pin pointer again. I cannot wait until my two pinpointers ship back from Garrett. It worked my nerves into a frenzy. The struggle was real!
