Detectorists, the TV series...anyone else watch it??

Admittedly not much of a TV person here, but I just found out about this a few days ago and have been binge watching the 2 seasons. For those who don't know/haven't heard...

here's the trailer .

This is not even remotely a reality show with all it's chest thumping, hyperbole, and multiple camera angles. The Wikipedia page describes it as a sitcom; I'd call it drama with regular helpings of dry British humor and self depreciation.

Anyway, find Season 1 (6 episodes) on Netflix [I'm told]
Season 2 (7 episodes) on Acorn TV [package on Amazon Prime]

Yeah I love that show. Search for the Christmas Special too. It's separate from the two seasons. Hope they come out with a third season.

Yes, settling down to Season 2 E 06 & 07 (Christmas special??) right now. Hitting me in all the right places right now, because of it's simplicity. It's just entertainment and you like or you don't

Yep they came out with a Christmas special. It's not on Netflix, Acorn, or Amazon. I found out about it in one of the XP Deus groups on FB. One of the members uploaded it to Dropbox. I'll try and see if I can find the link...it was a while ago.

just noticed S2 E07 is labeled as "[The Christmas Special] here on

but it's only 19 mins. as compared to 1/2 for all the other episodes...sooo??

You can download the song on iTunes for like 99 cents. The original artist has other albums which I haven't checked out yet, but I imagine they should be pretty good too.
