Site Suggestions, Davidson County, NC and Surrounding

Hey Guys,

So I've got a girl willing to go metal detecting with me, but I don't really have any idea where to go around here. Other than a few yards/fields of family/friends, which haven't been exciting. I'm hoping to find a decent place to take her Saturday. I'm in Davidson County, NC, but I'm not real worried about driving. Anything within a couple hour radius would be cool. She had mentioned the Guilford Battleground, but I know its a state park, and I'm pretty sure that is out of the question. I'm thinking about just driving around until I find a secluded wooded area and go from there, but even that I don't like the idea of it possibly being private property, etc.
Basically, I'm open to any and all suggestions!

How about the sand boxes at city parks ? They're always good for easy clad and an occasional jewelry. Unless you were hoping to angle for older coins ? (silver , etc...)
