Waterbury Button Co. Need help with age if possible

Found this with my 9 yr. Old at our local park. The park dates back to 1850's which is about the age of the town. Alot of activity was here and has old houses and old hand made square nails are abundant. I did a search but was struggling to match this up exactly. Any help is appreciated.

Unfortunately, they used that back mark from 1849 to 1965. But I would guess that it's from the 1800's and possibly from the Civil War era.

First helpful clue is how deep and how easily did it clean up? Was it at a depth where you also find other old items? If your familiar with that ground, which it wind like you are, then that can help date it. The drop date may be a lot later than the made date. It's a real beauty. Also the shank is a wire shank so that also wants to be 1800's but I would not rule out reproduction, especially if there are reinactments held there. Nice find

No reinactments here. It was about 6 inches deep which is pretty deep. The soil here is well preserving as I have found even the zincolns come out in pretty good condition which is why I questioned the age to begin with. My 9 yr. Old loves it but she is curious on the age....love it!
The depth of this could easily date back to the 1800's as the soil here hasn't been messed with.

I had to toothpick it for awhile and I should of snapped a shot of it while it was fresh....I was surprised at how clean it did get with a toothpick and a little water.

Instead of the button back being smooth and in the same plane, the backmark is in a recessed channel.
