Alright, its been a long time since I last posted on the forum (Yes I am still alive) I haven't metal detected in about six months now, and its winter. I haven't brought a new detector, the most recent thing I got for the Detector was a sharper spade. Moreover, that's besides the point. My main question here is. Is there a metal detector that matches all of the above? And what I mean by all of the above is...

  • Price Range
  • Removes iron
  • Recovery time
  • easier to find (Good) stuff (Pull tabs not included, unless you want to do something good for the environment.)

Hopefully this list above ^ is in proper order. Happy hunting.

The CTX 3030 is the weapon of choice if your budget allows for a one time expenditure.

Mindlab has been reviewed as and up and down metal detector. But, will take it up for consideration.

Lower range - Tesoro Vaqureo. Higher range, XP Deus. I have owned both, Vaquero will probably go deeper in sandy farm soil, the Deus generally kicks bu** all around. Both are pretty light weight, the Deus is the light weight champ of the universe.

Tell us your price range in dollars and that will help.

Otherwise, the answer is "yes".

Now, if you want a detector that will find every gold ring and Buffalo nickel but reject every pull tab?

The answer is "no".
