I got rid of my detector because...please add to the conversation

I sold my White's TDI, which was a very nice PI machine because there was only one place I could use it, and it was too heavy for this old cat.

So why did YOU part with a detector you had, good or bad? The curious are just nosy....

I accidently got rid of 7.....because a mouse chewed my dryer electric and had a house fire. Getting better now. Just have the ATP. (HAD to have something..lol)

I still have them all (6), four are "retired", but they are like old friends that I have history with. So, they hang on the wall in my "Fort" resting, with many of the items that I found with their help. Strange?, perhaps, and I'm OK with that.

I hang onto my Tesoro Cibola. It's a great beach and relic machine, and it's now officially a "pet". Jeff, I got maybe $750, if I remember right, which I rarely do these days.

Off topic - I bought another Tesoro Vaquero for a specialized use hunt. Blasted red Virginia dirt. It DOES go deep there if you set it up right and I really can't swing a PI machine because they weigh about 4 tons each....

I got rid of my Garrett GTI to get an Explorer

I got rid of my Shadow X 5 because it wasn't an Explorer

I got rid of my Tesoro Tejon because it wasn't an Explorer

I got rid of my Nautilus 2B because it wasn't an Explorer

I got rid of my Explorer because it's not a Deus!

I had a Tejon, it did ok, but I didn't particularly like it. Iron Patch, seemed you liked the Explorer for a good while. The Deus discriminates better in the VA red dirt than the Tesoro, but the Tesoro will go deeper. I'm heading back there to a prior permission fairly soon.

Had a wall of detectors at one time and downsized to focus on using just a couple for specific needs. Got rid of Etrac because shoulder is toast, migraine city swinging a brick. Miss that Etrac and would really like a CTX. Might have to try one of those swingy thingies...
