Sometimes my wife gets jealous when I date my coins. I found this 1921 Morgan. Almost tossed it away as burned up aluminum. Good thing the for the edge. I threw my back out or I would be out hunting, instead of thinking of things to post. View attachment 1538187 44FD386F-DBEB-479A-94BA-644287DEC9A9.jpeg View attachment 1538190

That sure is a beauty Ahab8! I figure with the amount of detecting this club does there are some really disfigured, hideous gems out there. Thanks for posting that beast.

It is amazing the things you think are toast and they end up cleaning up into something. To bad your IH was burnt. It sure doesn’t take long for those new pennies to dissolve:)

I once told a gal I was into old coins. Showed her my "sketches", she wasn't impressed I could tell. No second date.

1897 Barber dime. Completely slick on the none date side and on the date side the date barely came through. But I'm proud of it.
