One Day on the Treasure Coast - Where do I hunt - Vero Beach Florida Area

Hey all,

We are heading to Orlando on the 9th for a week and plan on heading to the Vero Beach area for a day at some point. I want to hit up the Mel Fisher and McLarty Treasure Museums and I figured I should swing the detector for a few hours on the beach. I don't do much beach detecting, especially in these parts, so any recommendations would be appreciated. Where's my best chance to find a bucket lister?

just pick the populated area, or the beach in front of the most expensive hotel. Only having a few hours makes it a crap-shoot and the majority of beach hunting tips are useless.
