Thanks Tim. Unfortunately those were my first thoughts. I contacted the Wallace R Fisher society and they were convinced it was by another artist. There's a Robert Fisher from Australia but his work is usually more abstract and his signature is more block like.

Then it's a forgery, because it's almost a spot on match to his signature.

I've seen this and I'm positive it's the same artist. Someone calling it a Wallace Fisher on ebay doesn't make it a Wallace Fisher. It might be by Sydney Berne, who used R Fisher as an alias. I'm still looking for proof

Lasher made cheesy floral paintings. The artist is Sydney Bernstein who also went by R Fisher and a couple of other aliases. I found a few other pieces
