Her's mine, with my collapsible, old Alaskan camper. In this pic, I'm stuck in the mud, in Wyoming, waiting for things to dry out. I drove out a couple of hours later. P5120005 (1024x768).jpg

I had a Lab that was like that about the truck bed. It was all his and he would let you know it too!

Ok, you showed me yours, I'll show ya mine. But ya gotta promise not to laugh. And yeh......they got names.

I never took any loaded up action shots, though I've been meaning to. Have to wait till next weekend.

Sometimes we take Moby. A 96 suburban. Honestly a $1000 truck with $1200 tires. 200amp charging system, cellular amp, digital scanner, on-dash navigation, truck monitors (tablet), 1500 watt power inverter hardwired in, microwave, blender, full+ size bed, and enough supplies, tools, and spare parts to get us out of trouble faster than we got into it. I've lived in this truck for a 2 week trip to Yellowstone, and a hundred weekends from 10 to 100 degrees. Moby goes and stays wherever we want. Whether it's chasin tanks, climing mountains, remote homesteads, or just drinkin some Stroh's, we got it covered. There's some good steel between the holes, and you can only see through the frame in a few places.

And sometimes, on the more docile paved weekends we take Darby. A 98 Wide Glide with a loadout for minimalish camping, detecting, and fishing.

Hi, this is my Nissan Navara. 2.5 Diesel auto. Not very fast but a nice ride. It gets me to my hunting sports. I still need to kit it out for my hunting gear.

Yeah that western gumbo is some slick nasty stuff, I encountered it in South Dakota fossil hunting and had to wait it out.

'97 LX450 AKA 80 Series Land Cruiser. What else are you going to carry your Multi Kruzer in but a Cruiser?

That would be bentonite clay, and yes its bad. Fortunately it dries out fairly quick but it can definitely leave you stuck for hours.

Some action shots. Getting him ready for the summer

Cooler, microwave, blender.....Dinners and icey drinks are plenty easy.
20190525_161939.jpeg

CF19 Toughbook rides under the seat if I need a PC. Detecting tool go in the floor bin, and a lil heater for the angel on my shoulder watchin my six. I'd hate to be the one that messes with her Daddy.
20190525_165102.jpeg

Samsung Android tablet runs Torque and DashCommand to monitor the truck. Runs Backwoods Navigator Pro for most of my GPS needs, also ONXhunt, Maprika and good ol' Google Maps. Digital scanner, but thats for an aside hobby stalking the military. Wilson cellular amp is hiding down there.
20190525_165143.jpeg

1500 watt invertor, and the 200amp alternator i mentioned before supplies enough 12v or 120v electricity for nearly anything.
20190525_162002.jpeg

Nearly a Full size bed in the back, smoke/CO alarm, and stowed you can't see, screens for the windows, an 8x10 awning, and a beach umbrella.
20190525_164500.jpeg

Homemade interior door lock and escape latch on the rear door.
20190525_161742.jpeg

Yeh.....and a wooden bumper with flashlight ziptied to light the plate.

A 2015 Ram Pickup. I rarely drive over 50 miles to hunt, and don't encounter the dirt roads that a lot of you do out West. Most of mine is highway, or paved country roads. So, therefore mine is just a nice truck with a bed big enough to haul any supplies I need for an outing that will only last up to 6 - 8 hours. Then its homeward bound for me.
